Hope Lutheran Church has played an important role in the lives of many in Hollywood and greater Los Angeles since 1942. Our church has been a source of hope for those who know God, those who seek God and those who may even question and doubt. Here, people of all backgrounds and personal beliefs find comfort, strength and encouragement on their journey - without judgment and censure. We welcome all, as does God.

We are known as an "oasis of hope" in a city where dreams can turn into nightmares, and where pain often drives people into drinking, drugs and other destructive behavior. This "oasis of hope" offers a different way to escape the pain, by helping people develop a personal relationship with God, within a caring, safe church community.
